Accomplishments in 2009, Challenges for 2010

I came into the year 2009 with the goal of becoming better at product development, as a project owner, a project manager and as a developer.  Reflecting back on the year, I’m pretty stoked about what I was able to accomplish (of course, with the help of some fabulous people):

1.2009 - Released the beta version of the Shizzow API
2.2009 - Released a middleware platform for OCP
3.2009 - Launched Shizzow to the general public
4.2009 - Migrated SMWW to the Drupal platform
5.2009 - Added oAuth authentication to the Shizzow API
6.2009 - Began consulting with Mozilla
7.2009 - Developed Lifestori.es, an obituary aggregator (for my father, who is a retired mortician)
8.2009 - Released the Mozilla Creative Collective
9.2009 - Took a 2 week vacation in British Columbia (Yes, taking a vacation is an accomplishment)
10.2009 - Released the Jetpack Gallery with Mozilla
11.2009 - Launched the redesign of Foodgeeks
12.2009 - Launched the redesign of Winegeeks

Looking forward to 2010, I have laid out the following challenges for myself:

1. Fine tune models for rapid development of great products
2. Implement 3 business models for my side projects
3. Become more proficient in defining and working towards measurable goals for products post-release
4. Enjoy a vacation in Europe, perhaps Italy?
5. Plant a victory garden in my front yard
6. Provide more room for quality time with friends and family
